Bahamas Eco-Camp

Environmental Camp Raises Awareness… Thanks to Industry Support

Last summer twenty-five Bahamian students participated in the first Bahamas Environmental Youth Program, a week-long camp held in Andros, organized by the Bahamas National Trust with support from the Andros Nature Conservancy and Trust, the Bahamas Hotel Association, the Ministry of Tourism’s Coastal Awareness Committee, the Bahamas Diving Operators Association, The Bahamas Reef Environment Education Foundation, and the International Field Station (Forfar) in Andros (which served as the host site) in cooperation with contributing corporate partners.

We invite you to view a brief video on last year’s camp and to see firsthand the value of this experience to young people and as an investment in the long-term sustainability of our tourism product.
