Government Forms & Requirements
The Bahamas Hotel Association seeks ways daily to ensure that its membership is kept current with the ever-changing governmental policies. As a step toward doing so, forms for various permits, certificates and their requirements were sought as they are thought to be of use to service the needs of all classes of membership.
Members are advised to familiarize themselves with the following applications, forms and corresponding requirements as to ensure that you are always in the boundaries of the law. Upon request, all of the following can be made readily available to you.

A letter requesting exemption from stamp duty and/or waiver of customs duty
Exemption from Duty- Used Vehicle
This form is reserved for applicants seeking customs duty concessions under Item 14 Part B of the Fourth Schedule to the Tariff Act for a Used Vehicle NOT OLDER THAN THREE (3) YEARS to be used as a Taxi/Livery/Tour Car/Omnibus
Exemption from Duty- New Vehicle
This form is reserved for applicants seeking customs duty concessions under Item Part B of the Fourth Schedule to the Tariff Act for a New Vehicle to be used as a Taxi/Livery/Tour Car/Omnibus
Exemption from Duty- Equipment or Machinery
This form is reserved for applicants seeking exemption from customs duty for ventures which are not receiving concessions under any other act
