The National Culinary Team, under the keen and watchful eye of Team Manager Chef Devin Johnson, continues to showcase The Best of The Bahamas with poise, grace and talent amidst fierce and often high-spirited Caribbean competitors.
Team Bahamas plated and served innovative cuisine and cocktails, reflective of Bahamian culture and traditions, yet with a “26th century twist”.
The Bahamas National Culinary Team is in Miami, Florida setting their sights for GOLD! Caribbean 305 commenced on Saturday and competitions began on Sunday.
The Team looks and feels like champions! (Attire created by talented seamstress Agatha Louise Mackey!) They have brought their A plus game to this competition; and other teams are taking note!
Team Bahamas is definitely in the running for the Taste of Caribbean competition, if their showing at their recent gala dinner is any indication to go by. There’s no better confidence booster than knowing you’ve nailed what you set out to do – and Team Bahamas did just that, checking off all the boxes in satisfying the senses of sight, smell and taste, and upping the ante ensuring that the flavors of The Bahamas shone through at their send-off gala. If a menu card read “spicy”, you got the spice. If it read “sweet”…you got that. If it read “savory”, you got that too. Textures were spot on and the composed dishes were beautiful to say the least.
These meetings are part of a series of outreach activities that Global Ports Holding is undertaking in partnership with the Bahamas Investment Authority (BIA) and the Prime Minister’s Office to ensure major stakeholders are fully involved in Prince George Wharf’s overhaul.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Executives of Global Ports Holding (GPH) hosted a series of government-endorsed stakeholder meetings recently to discuss the Nassau cruise port redevelopment project with key stakeholder groups.
These meetings are a part of a series of outreach activities that Global Ports Holding will undertake in partnership with the Bahamas Investment Authority and the Office of the Prime Minister to ensure that major stakeholders are involved in the implementation of the project.
