CHENACT
What is CHENACT?
CHENACT is an Energy Efficiency project financed by: IDB, GTZ, CDE, UNEP, BL&P and Government of Barbados. It is being implemented by CTO with the Technical and Operational Support of CHTA/CAST and runs Dec 2009 to October 2010. All BHTA member hotels are eligible to apply to be a part of the project.
Thanks to the support of the companies who sponsored last year’s tournament we’ve made a difference in young lives….
· With your help we have been able to able to assist with awarding 104 scholarships to deserving Bahamians valued at over $428,000 over the past 10 years.
· This includes 13 this year worth $70,000.
· We’ve reached thousands of students in schools through our tourism awareness and career readiness programs.

Thirteen young Bahamians have been awarded scholarships to pursue tourism-related studies thanks to the support of the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association, the Bahamas Hotel Employers Association and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF). This year’s awards were valued at $70,000, making it the largest single year disbursement since 2005, when the organizations renewed the industry’s commitments to scholarship programs.
BHTA Allied Member American Express invites members to a free seminar designed to provide information to all employees whose jobs are related to the acceptance of credit cards as well as accounting, finance and management personnel. This is a great opportunity to give them critical information that will definitely have a great impact in their day to day tasks.
