The Bahamian tourism industry's 2012 GDP contribution growth was forecast to exceed the next decade's average by hitting 3.1 per cent, with stopover arrivals projected to increase by around 500,000 over the next 10 years ti hit 1.883 million.

Bank of the Bahamas To Launch E-Commerce Initiative

bank of the BahamasThe managing director of Bank of The Bahamas (BOB) revealed an Internet banking network for businesses is ahead of schedule and could roll out in the next month.

Paul McWeeney said BOB is working "heavily" with its credit card processing entity and is testing the system for business accounts. He told Guardian Business that the trouble-shooting process has gone faster than anticipated.
