Bahamas Hotel Association

Who We Are

The tourism industry plays a most important role in the Bahamian economy and the hotel sector makes a major contribution in this effort. The Bahamas Hotel Association (BHA) represents the interests of the country's leading hotels and a large allied membership of companies that support the industry.

We have created this Web site to inform the public and prospective members about the BHA and to enhance the organisation by taking advantage of the many community features of the Internet.

Major Hotels Report Marginal Improvement

Print
According to preliminary statistics released by the Bahamas Hotel Association and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation, the 14-major New Providence hotels showed continued improvement in December, with increases in several key metrics.  These improvements helped to counter weather-related impacts last January and in August, September and October, resulting in marginal increases in occupancies, room revenue, average daily room rate (ADR) and revenue per available room (RevPAR) in 2011.
